Going through my research files I came across this Shiloh newspaper article written by Oliver S. Kennedy of the 16th Alabama. The newspaper article was found in the "Scrapbook of Idress Head Alvord" of the Alvord Collection dated from 1896-1903 at the St. Louis History Museum. Unfortunately, there is no date or even the name of the newspaper shown on the clippings. I included the last page as there is information on it that helps verify the approximate date of the newspaper. I post it for no reason other than to share it with those who might have an interest in reading an account of Shiloh written by Capt. Oliver S. Kennedy who, I assume, was there with the 16th Alabama.

Glad you shared this, even if it is lacking in details and is more of an opinion piece. One another note, his papers are at the University of Texas at Arlington.
