What are the preliminary thoughts, expectations & hopes within the forums that this title will provide for
us ?

I must say, as least in terms of availability via Amazon Kindle, while searching for General B. Bragg recently, there were slim pickings. Specifically, I hope this new book, which releases next Tuesday September 6th, provides information about General B.Bragg while leading the of The Army of the Tennessee vs. a flat out biography.

Are there any decent titles already out, that detail Bragg's campaign(s) & battlefield logistics ?

I would prefer to see logistics, planning and various campaign details vs. more of his pre & post war life.

Thanks in Advance!!

He died in Galveston, correct? If so, where?
Braxton Bragg collapsed in the street while coming out of the post office here, 20th and Postoffice Streets:

He was carried unconscious to his office at this address, about two blocks away, in the 2200 block of Postoffice Street, where he died a short time later. I don't think this is the same building that was there at the time, unless it's been very extensively altered.

The only previous attempt at a biography I can even think of is Braxton Bragg and Confederate Defeat, Vol. 1, which I have; as I remember the author got so disgusted with it - and him - Vol. 2 never appeared!

He was being true to his subject.

I am looking forward to reading this new biography, particularly since it is by one of my favorite CW authors, Earl J. Hess, and there have been very few good biographies of Bragg that I can find. The best one I have read was "Braxton Bragg and Confederate Defeat" by Grady McWhiney.
