All I know is, it is a Meditereanan pistol. Can someone shed more light on it? I know it is in very used/abused condition.

It looks in rough shape with a lot of pitting.
The front looks in worse shape. It has a plate of metal—tin?— wrapped over the barrel and stock to hold it together. Near the muzzle you see a wrap of wire. I cant see if that is a ramrod under the stock but the wire is wrapped around it.
Both are a sign of a repair. But why would both guns be identical?

Original European made pommel pistols for the Ottoman /Balkan market generally came in / were sold in pairs (so as to fit the saddle holsters) so if they were together for awhile the same sort of wear would be normal.
The wire repairs on both barrels are slightly different (thin wire top, thick wire bottom), but these are still suspect - might be late 19th century touristy-trade items and not 18th century originals.
More detailed photos (like the lettering on the escutcheon plates) are required.

It's the same pistol

Oooh.
That makes sense.
Is that a ramrod in the slot?
I don't know. It is my understanding that people that used these kept the ramrods around their neck and would have several to fire that were already loaded. I have sent the sealer a couple of emails but they haven't responded with any details.

Under the barrel aft of the wire, there is a brass part that is the Thimble to hold a ramrod. It should be hollow and the rod slides thru it. But what Im seeing is that what looks like a ramrod is the same diameter. Just need a better view of bottom.

I bought this one. I know it's rough and has issues, but it speaks to me. Will post pics when it arrives hopefully end of this week. Dealer believes it made sometime in the 1700's in the Mediterranean. Maybe with close up pics we can narrow it down.
