Have not heard anything abot either of them. They have two copies of the one about Wrstern North Carolina which might be a bad sign. So buy them or leave them for someone else?

If being behind in my reading was a reason or me not to buy more books Amazon would be out of business.
If you find them interesting and the price is right, as library sales generally seem to be, buy them for next winter's snow days.

Bought the one about Germans and skipped the other. With two copies I suspect they will be there a while. Perhaps I will be on that side of town again next week.

If the Western North Carolina books are gone when you get back there, you should kick your self, firmly.
I found it a interesting area, and is co-authored by 2 fine historians.
I, like many others, have books that I Hope to get to, but might not, before finding myself across the river. If I have the money, and the topic looks interesting, (and the shelf space), the book/s go into the bag. Sometimes that book might just furnish a bit of info you need.
