I've always liked Brussel sprouts as we had them often growing up. Mom boiled them as did MrsP when she cooked them for me (she didn't like them) and of course there is a certain bitterness to the taste which doesn't appeal to everyone. Last weekend we went to the DIL's birthday dinner at a steakhouse in town. She ordered Brussel sprouts as a table side for me and herself as we were the only ones there who like them. The restaurant roasted the sprouts, the first time I had eaten them prepared that way, and I must say they were delicious! Sweet and smoky flavor completely opposite of boiled prep. Even MrsP had a serving and we're going to try them that way at home.
