Inspired by the Yule log recipe this seasonal favourite came to mind. It's very popular in this part of the world and a staple at the Christmas dinner table. A lot of what we eat at Christmas dinner in Ireland is similar to the uk. I'd say the big difference is the addition of honey glazed ham to our meal , I don't think the brits do that bit. The traditional desserts though are identical. The pudding is soft and stodgy and is often flambé at the table with brandy. It's is the served with custard or brandy infused whipped cream. I never liked it as a child but have grown fond of it now. It was a favourite of my grandpa rest his soul on Christmas Day and he would often have seconds.
