Brig. General Reuben Williams

So in doing some research on my hometown I came across a Reuben Williams. He began in the war with the 12th Indiana as a 2Lt and rose through the ranks to become Col. Williams and the CO of the 12th. After the war he came back to Warsaw, IN and started a newspaper that is still in existance today serving my hometown. Just wondering if anyone had heard of him. This is the first I have read of him.
