I found this in my slew of reenacting equipment the other day. I can't remember exactly where I got it but I know the guy was an older reenactor who was trying to get rid of his gear. For some odd reason it caught my eye and was wondering if anyone could give an opinion on weather it's real or a reproduction ?

I am in no way an expert and not much of a novice on these things, but those hooks on the back look pretty new.
I agree. That's why I was wondering if it had any markings on the back. Early repops we're still made using lead filled backs. Gray Williams at Hanover Brass Foundry did his early ones like that with lead filled backs but he would mark them.

Check them with a magnet and tell me what they do.
