Book requests on Foreign enlistments

Given that Germans compromised a decent portion of the total number of troops in the Union army, and i know that the south had a rather considerable amount of Irish and Scottish soldiers, are there any well researched books on foreign enlistments in the Civil War - North and South.

Anything that more or less does not focus on the Ango-saxo, nor black/african American. I am rather curious about the Germans, Jews, Irish, scottish, French (if any) Italians and any others.

There are a fair number of books on the subject. Are you looking for unit histories, social history, etc.?
