Just out of curiosity, after I read your post, I looked. Apparently there's not one for McLaws, but he's mentioned in other books. Google "biography of Lafayette McLaws" and you'll find one of the entries is a book with transcripts of his letters (which looks really interesting and I wonder if anyone's read it?), and it references books the author feels are particularly appropriate. Hope that helps. One of the "complaints" I've read in recent years among historians is that all the books are written about Lee, Longstreet, THAT GUY.....and not these equally interesting but lesser known personalities. I'm hoping some folks will chime in and give us some good recommendations!
General Henry "Harry" Heth is an interesting General in Civil War. Amazon has "The Memoirs of Henry Heth" edited by James L. Morrison. General Heth was well liked and respected by Robert E. Lee. Lee looked out for Heth all during the War. He was one of few Generals he called by first name. Heth was close friends with A.P. Hill and Ambroise Burnside. They were classmates at West Point.
