Very nice work indeed...! Do you think the discoloration below the left, third from the top button is on the fabric, or possibly a photographic blemish?

Probably a stain from dribbling his morning beans, or maybe a tobacco hock gone wrong... :happy:
Thank you! I think it is on the fabric. I look at a large size photo even thought I usually work with the smaller size.

I'd say "Schnodder" (snot), lol.
The good general might have been reluctant to take his handkerchief out, it could have been misinterpreted as a flag of truce by the enemy ...

I agree, a photo blemish. He would have never worn a coat with a stain on it like that, as spoofed up as he is.
I agree and I was only joking in my previous post, but look at the close up photo - you can see that blemish ends at the seam of his coat. Wouldn't that be strange if it was a photo blemish and not on the coat?
Is this something I should remove?
