Does anyone know where to get a Union battle flag? Everyone and their brother sells Confederate flags. The only Union flags I can find are not authentic. It takes more than just slapping 34 stars onto a modern proportioned American flag. Union battle flags were higher than they were long. Same with the blue field.

Do a Google search for 35-star flag. There are several national vendors. A 3x5 nylon runs about $75. The more authentic and the more handwork, the cost goes up quickly. Any reputable local flag shop can put you on a catalog.

That flag just north of Montgomery was one of the most magnificent things I've ever seen. Well, it was.

The gents runing the site have a pretty good reputation for doing really superb research. I've talked w/ the owners of the site several times and enjoyed the experiance but their price range is WAY over my meager resources. I think they'll probably meet your authenticity expectations.

I was at a reenactment near Mason, Ohio, and what i thought was interesting, was that an OVI unit had a corps flag. I have never seen a corps flag at a reenactment before.
