I am very honored and proud, of my humble little collection of "battle bullets", that is bullets that have been saved from the battlefields themselves from war era residents, or ones found on the outskirts with metal detectors. (Don't worry, everything of mine is all legal) So, lets see what we have here...
This is a rare confederate .54 Cal. bullet. This was found along the Burnt Hickory road, near Kennesaw.
This bullet was recovered from the very outskirts of Shiloh, in 1974.
This roundball, or case shot, was found just south of where Laws Brigade was positioned during the second days battle of Gettysburg.
Dropped Gardner, found by my dad in Kearnstown.
Hard rammed Enfield, found in Charles town West Virginia.
Fired Gardner, found in a trench outside of Chancellorsville.
.69 Caliber roundball, found on the Poffenberger farm, in Sharpsburg. This was found in 1956, and was a part of the Wentworth Military Academy collection, until being auctioned off in 2008.
