[Crimea Vet]

That's my surname, I am British and my family originally came from the Manchester area. It's a long shot, but does anyone on this forum share the same name or have any details of a 'Bamford' fighting for either side?

My neighbor 3 doors down from me is a Bamford, spelled the same way. I'll have to ask him about his family heritage if he's aware of it.......

Ken, I asked my friends, Kim and Darryl Bamford about their heritage, and was told that his family is from Wales, then came to America, where they lived in Maine during the Civil War. He is not aware of any Civil War soldier in his family line, but plans to ask his mother, who has researched the family. I'll let you know, if I learn anything else.
