The Government has chartered the steamers Baltic and Ariel to carry troops under sealed orders.
The Baltic will carry Barry's company of Flying Artillery and 90 men; and the Ariel will carry seven or eight companies of Infantry and Marines/ these vessels will sail on Sunday next.
The frigate Powhatten goes to sea tomorrow morning, fully equiped and provisioned, and will probably take three companies sof troops.
The impression at the Navy yard, is that Forts Sumter and Pickens are both to be reinforced.
he Revenue Cutter Harriet Lane sailed today.
From the New York Post.
When I first saw this I thought the article mentioned Captain Barry's Company Lookout Light Artillery The other looks like a Barry's Flying Artillery
