Bad Luck Burnside

Graduated from Miami University- I recall a bar called Lottie Moon's in Oxford.
And as a Baptist, I've heard of Lottie Moon.
For years, I thought they were one and the same.
Same here! As a Baptist, we were donating to the Lottie Moon fund. My wife got her Masters from Miami. We live in Hamilton, about 7 or 8 miles from Oxford. It's a natural mistake...called by same name, not a big difference in age and both born in Virginia, though Lottie, the spy ,was reared in Oxford.

I was at a civil war roundtable meeting one time and a college prof of history thought they were the same person too. Both were also pretty fiesty ladies in their own right.

Just out of curiosity, what was your source(s) of information that Burnside was present at Ford's Theater that night? I have heard that before but so far have been unable to verify it.
