Hello there! , i am new to this forum I have picked up a bacon 31 Cal second model pocket pistol that I am going to have restored the gun has already been refinished so there's nothing to lose in terms of it's collector value I'm going to return it to a factory finish which for all the blued parts I'm assuming is a charcoal blueing but I could be wrong. my problem is which type of finish is on is certain parts such as the wedge, trigger guard, trigger and screws. I know the loading lever and hammer are cch and barrel and cylinder and probably the frame are blued. but even on the best examples I've been able to find pictures of there's only a trace of original finish on the frame with it mostly being in the white and I haven't been able to say for certain on the other parts I listed. I was wondering if anyone who has one or had experience with a high grade example could educate me on this. Im currently waiting to grab mine from an ffl and I'll be looking to find someone who will do the restoration work suggestions on that would be appreciated as well though i think i have someone in mind. Im also looking for a picture of a bacon cased example of one with a 5 inch barrel as I'm looking to have a replica box made. I've found a 4" and 6" and both had different box designs so I don't know what would be correct
