2 oz. smoked bacon
1 onion
fine flour
butter
soup-stock
vinegar
salt & pepper
cloves
Instructions:
Cut two ounces of smoked bacon and an onion, into large pieces, brown some fine flour in a little butter, sweat the bacon and onion in it until it gets a colour, thin the sauce with soup-stock and vinegar, flavour it with salt, pepper, and cloves, and send it to the table rather thick.
