Back To School..... Time!

Time! Summer's end ' Time ' back to school ' Time ', end of oppression ' Time ', telescoped ' Time ' before children of a supposedly different race could climb on academic's bright yellow bus.

Not including a lot of information with these; theme is ' School ' although these will be initially top heavy on schools for black children, teachers enlisting in their own select ranks; fighting their war. Hands reached, fingers touched in a dreamed of moment,long forbidden, the shock coursed through this connection like a live current. These pictures are thrilling like no other era photographs.

As a retired teacher I can only say what a pleasure it would have been to have taught youngsters (and a few old timers, too) who obviously wanted to learn whatever they could, as much as they could. No problem with anticipatory sets here.
