When we were at the Visitor's Center on Saturday, July 5th, author, Richard Baumgartner was there. He was there talking about his books and signing them.

A few of his books are:

"Blood and Sacrifice: The Civil War Journal of a Confederate Soldier", "The Bully Boys" and his latest publication, "Fractured Paths of Duty", the first book ever published about the 92nd Ohio, which fought at the Battles of Chickamauga and Chattanooga.

We were at the Vicksburg Visitor's Center on the 6th. They have converted one of the two rooms into a life-size, walk-in depiction of one of the siege caves dug into the bank. Very interesting.
