This weekend, 12/10 & 12/11, 2016 there is a two day Civil War auction at Gibson Auctions in Orange, Virginia. I just got back from looking at the stuff and while there is the usual junk, there is also some good stuff. It has the best Whitworth Rifle I've ever seen and the only one I have ever seen for sale. For those of you who live close it might be worth the drive.
