This is a large format print but I'm guessing there's an original somewhere? I'm assuming it is Civil War era?

Anyone recognize any of these gentlemen?

It looks like some or all of them might have been identified at some point, but the ink has faded. Or else they were identified on the original and the names didn't transfer well? This one for example. Mr. Kepi in hand (wearing an ankle holster?). Looks like there was a name underneath him? Can anyone make it out?

These middle two - hand on hip and smiley - they look so familiar. Also looks like names could have been under them at one time?

And Mr. Pomp and Circumstance seated in the armchair. Is that a name under his feet?

Anyway, I thought if anyone might know or be able to figure out who they are, it'd be the good folks here at CWT. Any help appreciated.

Does that look like 25 KY to anyone else? The highlighted part. Next to Hand on Hip guy's foot. @Stryker65 who were the officers of the 25th KY? And do you know what any of them look like?

Does Smiley have glasses?

@lelliott19
25th Kentucky...that's James Shackelford's regiment, I believe

Other officers would be Benjamin Bristow and (something) Wall

The problem is, the 25th Kentucky existed for less than a year, I believe only about a few months (if it is the 25th, that picture's really rare), since the 25th was consolidated into the 17th after Shiloh or after Siege of Corinth

Wow! Well it looks like there is a 25 KY written on the image (next to Mr Hand on hip guy's foot) so it might be the 25th Kentucky.

What is in Smiley's pocket? A pipe? A big cross? and something else at the bottom?

Does Mr. Pomp and Circumstance look like James M. Shackelford who was the Colonel of the 25th Kentucky? (The comparison image is of Shackelford later - after he was promoted to Brigadier.)
