Antietam anniversary

Anyone going for anniversary weekend? Just noticed today the 17th is on a Saturday and thinking of going up that day. Are crowds insane that day usually?
Maybe one of these years I can do that. Sabine Pass and Franklin are the only places I have been on the battle anniversary.

I want to go down and see the full artillery thing with the horses. However, I'm doing a small meet-up with two other folks in RI that just came up, so I'm going wait and see till it gets closer. The Liberty Rifles will be there this time and I'm sure it will be crazy busy.

And when I've be there before on an anniversary and got there VERY early in the morning, the parking was already crazy busy at the Visitor's Center, so just giving a warning.

Would love to but the 17th is my birthday and I will be with family and friends. Born 100 years after the battle. That is one event I just hope I can attend before I kick off. I'm way out West and the travel is just beyond my means and abilities.
