Ancestors

It is really a great job you have done Larry.
I will post everything on the same page as before, it will look like a library with all your articles.
This is what I want people to understand that you have to pass on.
The first article I posted yesterday Larry has already been read of a little over 450 people

Good, bad or ugly, if it ain't passed on, the marks on the earth left by these men will cease to exist. If we don't do it, no one else will. Thanks very much for the opportunity.

I want to say thanks to the two people who have sent me information
It was very interesting reading and I think many will appreciate this information.
I hope now that more people will send me information, I take in on everything just has to do with history

Hey, everybody. Larry just now became a Light colonel! Time for a party.

I try to stay about 6,000 strokes behind you just to be safe. You lapped the field about five years ago and pretty much ended the race. If someone must ride point, I'd prefer it be a yankee.

Woo hoo! Bring on the beer and ants! What exactly is a light colonel, anyway? Under 100 pounds? Something related to "DADT"?

Bama, Sam, Ole, Richard and the others who have actually met me will attest that light has little to do with me aside from my hair, mental capacity and billfold.

In your Mission Statement, you make this comment.

IS THIS LEGAL? Absolutely. For unpublished documents, the copyright belongs to the author from the date of death + 70 years, when pertaining to authors who died before 1937. At that point the documents enter public domain. Fair use statement: This material is put online to further the educational goals of Soldier Studies. org. This material may be used freely for educational and academic purposes. It may not be used in any way for profit.

Note: Possession/ownership does not equate to copyright. Just because an archive or person has ownership of Civil War letters, that does not mean we have to get their permission to publish the letter's content. They do not have to allow us access to their documents, but they cannot stop us from publishing transcripts if we so desire. And we do.

Is that really true? Sounds like anything and everything is for the taking.

Steve
