hey i am a reenactor and few months ago just found out i have a confederate heritage and know now my great great grandfather fought in 43rd north carolina regiment infantry company K from anson county north carolina and has fought many battles from around in virginia to cold harbor to fredricksburg on up to gettysburg 1863.. and i am his descendant i dont know how to find his family photos and his picture where ever it might be no one knows where at i am looking into where or how

Go to the LSU Civil War Center site - http://www.cwc.lsu.edu/ - it has an index of links to a lot of other sites and you might hit on one that will help you. Also check with the NC archives office, see if you can get pension records.
