of the battle of Aiken in Aiken SC?

I'll be there with the 15th US & walking around with the captain of the 17th NYVV.

As far as I can tell, my avatar, Col. Pointer of the 12th Ala Cav, was wounded there and put out of action. Wheeler gives a date for the wounding that is inconsistent with the action as he described it, and it seems to fit Aiken better. Wheeler was one day off I suspect.

It was a great event & i really enjoyed it.
The bummers were present & burned a house.
Sunday's battle was a victory & very quick, maybe 30 minutes long.
I had fun digging a pit in the company street & hearing our corporals famous line "that's not safe"
HAHA, it was a good time.
