In a follow up to my previous post about the Ruffians raiding Kansas I am sharing another great news paper find, again I can not cut and paste the text, but will provide the link to the story.
The article is the first hand eye witness account of a news briefing ( what we would call it today) with the territorial governor, in reading this the reader will see the frustration of the "Free Stater's" as there is little or no justice served by the authorities, much to the chagrin of the governor. The reader will see, if you read the rest of the paper page, the disgust of the citizens with President Buchanan and the military leaders assigned to the territories to protect the citizens.
