Acw kit

They were originally kits made by C. Davison, but the kit business was sold to Ben Tart several years ago. Neither have ever been known to deal in subpar products, ain't no way they'll not be quality, though I've only messed with their uniform kits, not the leather yet.

As a word of warning, I would highly suggest you already know how to do skilled leatherwork before you attempt it. Only first timer kit they got would probably be the cap pouch kits.

Anyone tried the acw kits I been looking at there cartridges boxes and just wondering about their quality thanks.
In addition to @Rusk County Avengers post, they also sell a book with basic leather sewing techniques which is worth its weight in gold with information! I would also suggest looking at photos of originals and how they were constructed. Will help out in the long run!

You'll want to invest in a good set of multi-prong hole punches, a gouge, and a burnisher for sure, as well as rivet and burr setter. Boxes are made easiest nailed to a block, so you should consider making one out of scabbed 1 by unless you have a planer that can take a thicker board to the proper dimensions. Round end punches are nice for cutting holes for tabs, etc.

I done some 18th century bags and some stuff I'm lucky I got a good friend that i know that coule help I got some hole punches I have not not got a rivet setter I watch the video they have on their site he goes though everything step by step

Thanks for bringing this up.
I have been looking at them also since I do have some experience making things in leather myself and do have some tools for it.
And I do plan to replace my Pakistani made leather kit... and making the items myself would be a lot cheeper than say Missouri Boot and Shoe Company

My main issue is that I have the impression that there is no written guide to the actual construction.
(where WW&Co in comparison have good written guides with photos)
