Edit: in hindsight I probably should have posted this in the relic forum. I apologize in advance.

I'm looking into getting a United States Marine Corps flag (I've attached an image) that by all research I have seen was carried into battle early in the war. I'm not looking for an actual battle worn flag but just a reproduction. I've seen images of reenactments where the flag has been carried but have not been able to find a place to get one. I've been in contact with CRW Flags whom I purchased my CSMC flag from and provided them with some art and they're looking into it but I was curious if anyone else had any leads. I'm not trying to break the bank but I also understand it's not just a standard $50 flag either.

I found a company that can actually make one. But pricey..

The only way to get one, that I've found, is to have one custom made and that's a bit pricey for me just to have hanging in the man cave along some other flags.

I'd like one to loan out at reenactments so I don't have to stare at a plain unmarked 3x5 cotton 34 star flags.

It really takes away from the Union side's appearance when those are the flags used. But the Confederate side's flags are always proper!:D:TinyCS1Nat:

Those square Regimental US flags are such a nuisance to find. At least for me...
I agree, they are difficult to find. There is an abundance of 3x5 Federal flags, but any decent federal square flag will have to be ordered from an historical flag maker. The prices usually range from $600 on the lowest side up to $2,000 on the high end. This is why so many Federal units at reenactments use the 3x5 versions. They simply can't afford the pricey replicas.

Well I know a guy who custom makes beautiful Confederate flags in the proper size at a bargain, my 60th Alabama Infantry flag was made by him on first hand accounts before he could get a look at the original. (He got very close...) Hands down my favorite CS flag replica is a gold-fringed 3x7 CS 1st National of the 15th TX Inf. flag he made.

Maybe he'll give into my badgering him out of retirement to make a US one.
