Very nice slide show, Bill. I also like your follow-up attachment of the Ford's Theater interior scene. The blurred soldier in that photo is rather unsettling, isn't he?

The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park preserves the site where Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809. He was born at the Sinking Spring site south of Hodgenville and remained there until the family moved to the Knob Creek Farm northeast of Hodgenville when he was 2 years old.

A lesser known Lincoln site is close to the home of my Union Civil War ancestor in Cobden, Illinois. The Lincoln Memorial Park is the site of an 1859 debate between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas.
Another Lincoln site is the Lincoln Homestead State Park located near Springfield, Kentucky. This is near where Thomas Lincoln was raised and where he courted Nancy Hanks. Thomas' brother, Mordecai Lincoln's home is also located nearby.
