A Triple Armed Oompa Loompa

Sixth plate ambrotype in a full case of a bust pose of a Confederate, quite possibly artillery given the dark color of his collar. There are two revolvers (Colts?) tucked into his belt. To the left of one revolver is what looks like a Sheffield type knife. His three-point coiffure is carefully combed, and is accompanied by a neatly manicured neck beard gently hosting a patterned tie.

I really like this image... very clear and sharp with lots of character.

I would welcome any insights on this guy's uniform, and thoughts on what state or area he might have been from.

Also any thoughts on the type of revolvers he's packing...?

I think it would be impossible to pick a unit or state that he is from, but it appears that it is at least a 9 button coat, probably a frock. It looks like he might be wearing a two buckle belt? Cool image.
