I have yet to figure out a good introduction when I wander into a camp, Songbird voice at the ready..As a Soldier, what would make a good introduction? Without it being super wierd..I know that Belle Montgomery promotes me at reenactments, but I feel like I need a nice solid "Here I am, Imma gonna sing" intro.

Thank you all for your suggestions..

Went to a reenactment some years ago at Pine Ridge, Ark. After the battle, there was a woman singing CW tunes as she walked through the campsites; she was accompanied by a fellow playing the violin and one playing the tambourine, the songs were lively and positive. As the sun went down, the songs were mellow. Made for an interesting addition to the atmosphere of the place.

I'm doing the A'capella wander, and I really do need to memorize more songs, to free myself from the big binder I use for "static" performances. It's just that I keep findng new music….

My thoughts are to find 8-10 songs you like and feel comfortable with, meaning pitch, length of song, ease/difficulty level, etc. Practice walking around the length of time it would take to sing all of those songs. (Walking and singing is different from standing and singing or sitting and singing). This might influence which songs you want to perform while walking footpaths in semi-light and not on flat surfaces.
