Interesting piece, what does the other side look like. Most of the letters I have seen are real thin.

Interesting. I have no clue. Where did you find it, and what else came with it? Sometimes context is very helpful in archaeology.

Nice finds. How far down were they?

Looks to be a solid brass F, the two dimples had soldered wire attachment "spikes", which were thicker than the usual wire loops.
