Thanks for all the pictures, Annie. An entirely fine depiction of the time.

It all began just browsing, seeing some of these faces and getting lost in them, you know? Kind of a waste to just click away, leave them back there in Time again- thought it might be nice to bring them here. Have another file started! :)
 
Great pictures! I was surprised to see a pregnant picture since I thought they always tried to hide it and hung around the house until the baby miraculously appeared.

That's what I thought! Makes me wonder if she was possibly one of the ' forward thinkers' of the time, dismissing traditional roles for women. They were out there, it's just always a bit of a shock learing of them- like Lucy Stone ( thread forthcoming ), the first woman to keep her maiden name after marriage. Just, plain thought some traditional perspectives were silly.
