Indoor bonnets with a girl sized one in front.

Why are these indoor bonnets and what makes them 'indoor?

This type of bonnet appeared regularly at church or a social event, (if the weather was fair). It's fun to look back and see how many bonnets were owned during the war. It appears that bonnets were the first things that many women did without as the war pushed forward. Many women refashioned what bonnets they had on hand. Thanks for sharing this.
