Everyone wants more cookies, right? I want more cookies! I admit a particular liking for the recipes in period farm magazines. This cookie comes from The Genesee Farmer, Feb 1859

i brought a batch of these to my grandchildren - they were a hit. If you want a modern spin on them, substitute cinnamon sugar for the plain sugar sprinkled on top.
