Trivia 9-16-16 Identify & Bonus

Main question: Based on the red trim and the single chevron, my guess is that the jacket belonged to a private in the Union Army, specifically in the artillery.

Bonus question: Cobb is buried in Oconee Hill Cemetery, close to the University of Georgia campus. My guess is that the edifice to which the question refers is Sanford Stadium, home of the Georgia Bulldogs football team.

Friday question: Perhaps the trim on the illustrated jacket has faded? The only descriptions I can find are red or scarlet = artillery and crimson = ordinance. I cannot find anything with pink, after wading through numerous uniform insignia definitions and pictures. I did come up with a somewhat similar image (but with red, not pink) that claims to be a union artillery musician's shell jacket. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/500181102348155552/

Per wikipedia article, "Uniform of the Union Army," enlisted musicians did not wear rank insignia, and I don't see shoulder boards on the jacket in the question. So if my guess is correct, it's for an enlisted artillery musician.

Bonus: Gen. TRR Cobb is buried in Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, GA, close to the University of Georgia. Can't find a nearby edifice listed in the modern descriptions of this cemetery. There is a bridge and a sexton's house, both built in the 1890s, but no mention of how close they are to the TRR Cobb grave. The TRR Cobb House is mentioned as a museum (with an interesting history) but from google maps I can't find that it's anywhere near the cemetery. Nor (as a distraction) could I find that Ty Cobb the baseball player was descended from TRR Cobb--seems to be a quite different branch of the Cobb family. T.R.R. Cobb is buried in Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, Georgia, so IF an edifice can be (and is) defined as a system of buildings, then my answer is the University of Georgia main campus.
However, if an edifice is more traditionally defined, then it should be one building, of which there are many in close proximity to Cobb's burial place- mostly on the U.G. campus.

The Lamar Dodd School of Art at U.G. has been described as an edifice- "Indeed, the edifice so reflected the spirit of Dodd that it would be renamed in 1995 as the Lamar Dodd School of Art" and would certainly fit the question posed here. Other examples might be:
The Franklin Law College at U.G., described as an edifice in "The University of Georgia Bicentennial History" p.218;
Waddell Hall at U.G. , originally known as Philosophical Hall, a Greek revival two-story edifice (from "Haunted Halls of Ivy" eBook);

That is an artillery musician's shell jacket.
That particular jacket belonged to a bugler and I've been lucky enough to see it in person.

Bonus: the Oconee Hill Cemetery where Cobb is buried is directly across the street from Sanford Stadium on the University of Georgia campus where Cobb attended school (aka Franklin college at that time).
Also in the vicinity if you are ever in the neighborhood is the Georgia Museum of Art and the North Oconee River sites. Not a fan of UGA athletics but that area and its history is wonderful even though the cemetery has been somewhat neglected in the last few years.

Additional fact: Cook & Brother arsenal/manufacturing (ever heard of the cook & brother carbine?)was also somewhat nearby and as recently as half a decade ago lead rounds and carbine parts were still being discovered along the banks of the river.

Red makes chances pretty high that he belongs to the artillery. As I see no insignia he could be a Private, however with all the fancy trimming I suppose he is a Musician.

As for the bonus it is complicated. The cemetery is located within the city and so there are lots of things near it ... the Sandford Stadium, the University of Georgia and a bunch of museums (I can maps!). Also not far away is the T.R.R. Cobb House in which Cobb lived for his whole adult life and which now is a mueum, too.
