Recent Find 8th NYSM Hardpack with name

I found this hardpack in an antique shop earlier this evening and because of the price, I had to get it. Everything looks good to me, has good age to it. A tag on the back names it to either L or J. R. Tracy, 8th NY SNY.

The dive into research begins tonight!

Here is a roster of 8th new York infantry. They're different. I'm speculating you have a national guard pack?
