Very nice quality on all the canteens. That's a lot! I only have two. A blue smoothside and brown bullseye with a name stitched into the cover. Are yours mostly New York depot?

I can't make out the name on the bullseye and the other photo is from when I bought it from the dealer site, I never re photographed it.

Great collection! You both have excellent canteens! l really enjoy enlisted men field gear. More photos would definitely be enjoyed!

You might be on to something. It would be nice if it was NJ, that's where I'm originally from. I wonder if there is a way to invert the photo someway like a negative and see if the letters pop out.

Try different types of light, a black light, fluorescent, led etc and see what pops.
