Lemat revolvers

Edit - There are sources supporting both Lemat revolver and Lefauchaux revolver as correct answers to this question, so credit will be given for either answer.

Stuart's favourite: LeMat revolver

In 1859 Beauregard bankrolled the developer/manufacturer, Jean A. LeMat

This here is a photo of PGT's engraved original:

Wow! Francis Barnum, the sculptor of the over 150 pieces I have now, really did his homework. I just looked at the Chilmark he sculpted of JEB getting shot on his horse---in his hand is a LeMat! I never noticed that before-thanks for the trivia!

LeMat revolver

"In addition to General Beauregard and Colonel LeMat, LeMat's revolver was used by such famous Confederate officers as Major Generals Braxton Bragg, J.E.B. Stuart, Richard H. Anderson, and Major Henry Wirz. Confederate Major General J.E.B. Stuart "was known to favor the LeMat revolver".[5] General Beauregard's personal engraved LeMat, which he carried throughout the war, is preserved at the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond, Virginia"
