I believe it's a portion of the house on Seminary Ridge owned by Thaddeus Stevens and appropriated for use as Lee's Headquarters; though Lee may have eaten meals here, it's likely stayed in his headquarters tents which were set up across the Chambersburg Pike.

Main question: Considering it was submitted by LoyaltyOfDogs, I assume the question refers to the humble doghouse in the foreground.

As to the location of the doghouse, I can only guess. Outside the Jennie Wade house.

Bonus: George Sears Greene, whom I gave as an (incorrect) answer to Wednesday's question.

The house of Mary Thompson, also known as Lee's Headquarters, is on the North side of Chambersburg Road ( US 30) on Seminary Ridge on the west side of Gettysburg.

Bonus: A well known Union Brigadier General ( George Sears Greene ), served with distinction at Antietam and Gettysburg. His oldest son ( Samuel Dana Greene ) was also the executive officer on the USS Monitor during the Battle of Hampton Roads.

Answer: At the Mary Thompson House (General Lee's Headquarters)

(The dog house is clearly visible in this historic view of the house taken shortly after the battle.)

Answer - George Sears Greene

Edit - The second question asked only for the name of the general, not the name of his son, so if anyone got the name of the son wrong, it wasn't counted against them.
