Faugh A Ballagh was the battle cry of the Army of the Potomac's Irish Brigade – composed of the 69th New York Volunteer Infantry, the 63rd & 88th New York and later the 116th Pennsylvania and 28th Massachusetts Infantry regiment. It was specifically the motto of the 28th Massachusetts.
