Well if they say so. But they could almost pass for Union troopers. When I enlarge it,t I am not sure, but the officers might have shoulder strap rank.

The uniformity is too great it seems for sure, but some C.S. outfits did have shoulder straps - at least earlier in the war. This guy was in the 16th TN.
