Ok, so I took the plunge and bought myself a 3D printer to start making some miniatures for my N Gauge and O Gauge Railroads. Does anyone have a good site that has designs for free or relatively cheap? Most of the ones I have found are close to $300 for designs.

The problem I ran in to is the scaling. I'm having trouble figuring out how to convert some of these to smaller sizes and make sure they are at the proper scale.

American and European N gauge railways are 1:160 or 1.9mm to the foot making a normal figure between 10mm and 12mm in size, whereas British N gauge is 1:148 or 2.1mm to the foot so both scales are generally compatible.
O gauge railways are 7mm to the foot, a scale of 1:43.
OO gauge railways are 4mm to the foot, a scale of 1:76.
HO gauge railways are 3.5mm to the foot, a scale of 1:87. Hope this is of help.

I've been after my son to get a 3d printer as he is so much more savvy than me on anything computer related. I'd even help him buy the printer, then he could pay me back in the figures I want printed.

@Booner They really aren't that expensive. I think I paid close to $300 for mine. I make stuff for my brother and he buys me the filament for it. I have the Ender 3 V2 off of Amazon.
