Howdy, was wondering if anyone knew of a place to find an account of the 37th pushing back over the bridge after Jackson's narrow escape. Thanks as always
I think it was actually the 27th Virginia of the Stonewall Brigade - regardless, the most detailed account of the dual battles of Cross Keys and Port Republic are in Robert K. Krick's Conquering the Valley.
The charge that Sorah is asking about (on the bridge following General Jackson's narrow escape at Dr. Kemper's house) was on June 8 and was by the 37th Virginia.
