32nd Tennessee Infantry battle flag

According to this history, the 32nd Tennessee was placed in Hardee's Corps for a short period of time, from late 1862 to July 1863. So they may have been issued a Hardee battle flag during that time.

After Gen. Joe Johnston took command of the Army of Tennessee in late 1863, he standardized the army's battle flag to a rectangular Confederate Battle Flag (aka "Southern Cross/St. Andrew's Cross"). With the exception of Cleburne's Division retaining their Hardee flags and some other units that were issued a 2nd National, most of the regiments in the army received a Confederate Battle Flag; so that was most likely what the 32nd Tennessee used from early 1864 to the end of the war, especially considering that it was what the 3rd and 18th Tennessee in the same brigade were issued.

The rectangular CBFs issued to the AoT were manufactured in Augusta, GA, either by the Augusta Clothing Depot or civilian contractor J.B. Platt & Co.
