The lady of course was Jenny Wade.

Her fiancé who died shortly after her was Corporal Johnston H. Skelly, Company F, 87th regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry.

"Mary Virginia "Jennie" Wade was a 20-year-old resident of Gettysburg engaged to be married to Corp. Johnston H. Skelly of the 87th Pennsylvania
[...]
Jennie Wade was the only civilian casualty of the battle of Gettysburg. Nor was the tragedy complete, for unbeknownst to Jennie, her fiance` Corp. Skelly had been wounded and taken prisoner at Winchester on May 13. Transferred to Virginia, he died in a hospital on July 12. News that he had died in Confederate hands came several days after the Southern Army had withdrawn from Gettysburg."

Cpl. Johnston H. Skelly of Co E 87 Penn.

Edit - Skelly actually belonged to two different companies and two different regiments at different times during the war. He originally was a member of Co. E of the 2nd Pennsylvania Infantry and eventually became a member of Co. F of the 87th Pennsylvania Infantry.

The question didn't clearly specify that the correct answer would have to relate to the company and regiment to which he belonged when he was shot, so I will accept either Co. E, 2nd Pennsylvania or Co. F, 87th Pennsylvania as a correct answer.

But I can't accept Co. E, 87th Pennsylvania. Sorry.

July 3, 1863: Jennie Wade (20), the only civilian casualty of the Battle of Gettysburg, began preparing biscuits and about 8:30 a.m., while she stood in the kitchen kneading dough, she was struck in the back by a Confederate bullet that had traveled through a wooden door, killing her instantly.

Sadly, Jennie's tragic story does not end there. She was engaged to a Union soldier from Gettysburg, Corporal Johnston "Jack" Skelly, who, unknown to her, had been mortally wounded two weeks earlier in the Battle of Winchester.

Private Wesley Culp, a Gettysburg native fighting for the Confederacy, who had gone to school with both Skelly and Jennie, came across Skelly at a field hospital where the wounded soldier gave him a note to pass on to his fiance, Jennie.
Unfortunately, Culp was also killed and the note never made it back to Jennie.

Two lovers separated by 67 miles were shot on "Northern" soil in battles 19 days apart, possibly both by men of Ewell's Corps. They died less than 10 days apart, neither knowing of the other's fate. If the lady died on July 3, what was her fiancee's name, company and regiment?
