The 2022 Brown's Raid reenactment will take place this coming Saturday and Sunday (April 9th and April 10th) in Anderson South Carolina on Due West Road. This a good reenactment the actually battle of Brown's Raid took place on May 1st, 1865 in Anderson South Carolina. The result of the battle was a Confederate victory. Overall there were 2 confirmed casualties and losses on the union side of the battle. The Union Army commander was Colonel Simeon B. Brown. On the Confederate side there was one known causality with killing of a teenager named William McKenzie Parker.

I invite you to this great little reenactment and hope if your in the area you will strongly consider attending.

@gentlemanrob is there a web site to visit for this?

It was really cold out on the battlefield today but it was fun as always. I enjoy participating in reenactments No matter how cold it is we must remember the soldiers who came before us.

Good to see Rob at the reenactment, as always. Small event and a small group of spectators, but we gave them a good show and I had a number come up afterwards and talk about how they enjoyed it. My wife invited some fellow members of the home school co-op and they came and brought their kids, and I got to talk about the uniform and equipment and musket, so that was a highlight of the weekend for me. Nice to teach a little history other than just by skirmishing. I'll try to post some pictures later on.

Day 2 was even better to me than Day 1 of this annual reenactment. I believe there was a bigger turn out today. I was happy to see Andersonh1 at the reenactment. I met a couple of new friends this weekend one is a guy who has been reenacting for a while he acts as the provost guard of the camp a great guy with lots of knowledge. I was able today to tell people about the real General Robert Toombs. It was great to see many young reenactors it helps to know the young want to keep the tradition going. Below are my pictures for today (Sunday) hope you all will enjoy.
