#2 Hindman (03-02-15)

He was assassinated by one or more individuals at home while reading a newspaper to his children. Multiple musket shots hit Hindman in the jaw, throat and hands, and he died eight hours later due to significant blood loss.
 
Assassinated on the night of September 27, 1868 by unknown assailant(s) who fired through his parlor window. Was with his children are reading his newspaper at the time. Cause of death: multiple shotgun wounds on the head and hands and severe blood loss due to those. Died few hours after the attack (probably 9/28/1868) at a hospital.
