Painted this last year. Found two articles, describing the regiment wearing the blue hunting shirts as the disembarked a train in both Lynchburg and finally Richmond. They were the only KY Regiment to fight in Virginia.

So is this the uniform the 1st Kentucky Infantry wore at the Battle of Dranesville, December 20, 1861? If so, it helps me to understand a little better the friendly fire incident between the 1st Kentucky and 6th South Carolina, and the confusion when the 1st Kentucky initially engaged the 9th Pennsylvania Reserves in the dense woods.

I couldn't say, at this point they may already have replaced them. I am fairly sure they wore the blue hunting shirts on the way to 1st Manassas
